Friday, April 2 was the day it all came together, with numerous cocktail submissions from Southern Oregon Bartenders for the first annual Organic Nations' Sip Local Cocktail Competition honoring the 75th anniversary of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The judging positions highlighted local restaurant owners such as 38 on Central, Dragonfly, Omars, and other local personalities. And winning became a highly challenging and sought after award. The well rounded group of judges with commendable culinary experience landed on two winning cocktails, Viola's Disguise (crafted by Cate Gibbs, of The Winchester Inn) and Out Damn Spot (by Chris Wells of Tease Restaurant).
